Oasis by Candlelight

Step away from the noise and into the quiet warmth of The Oasis and our lead Reiki Master, Joy Johanneson-Sully.

Oasis by Candlelight is an intimate evening of guided meditation, reflection and deep rest, created to offer space to simply pause, breathe and return to yourself. All while being immersed in the healing energies of multiple Reiki styles and levels.

No two evenings are quite the same. Each gathering may draw inspiration from the rhythms of the moon, the turning of the seasons, meaningful moments within the year, or the quieter landscapes within ourselves. Some evenings may invite release and renewal; others may explore grounding, emotional balance, healing, intention or simply the restorative gift of stillness.

Surrounded by soft candlelight, you are invited to settle in, let the outside world fall away, and spend an evening tending to the part of you that is so often asked to wait.

Each gathering welcomes just seven guests. Keeping the circle small helps preserve a quiet, spacious and less stimulating environment, allowing you to settle in at your own pace without the pressure or intensity that can sometimes come with larger groups.

LEVEL 1

Usui Ryoho Holy Fire III World Peace

Begin your Reiki journey with a warm, grounded, and deeply supportive weekend of learning. Level 1 introduces you to the foundations of Reiki, the history and principles, hand placements, self‑treatment, and the gentle, purifying energy of Holy Fire® III World Peace Reiki.

This class is perfect for anyone — whether you’re brand new to energy work, seeking personal healing, or looking to add a supportive tool to your professional life. Joy has trained countless spa and wellness professionals, as well as nurses, doctors, social workers, pharmacists, and counselors. Her teaching is trauma‑aware, inclusive, and rooted in compassion. With many tricks and tips for Reiki in everyday life, Joy is ready and happy to share them and how you work with your environement too.

There is no expectation to work on others after Level 1. In fact, Joy believes it is her responsability, as a Sensei (one who comes before) to ensure you are comfortable within yourself first. Many students take this class purely for self‑care, emotional support, grounding, and personal growth. Reiki is just as powerful when used privately for yourself, your home, your plants, and your animals. It is not required to have psychic abilities or empathic tendancies, no expectations will be placed on what you are able to "do" with energy or reiki. Come as you are, as who you are, your most authentic version of you is exactly what this world needs you to be. Reiki will empower you as you are in this moment.

When: Friday January 22, 2027 (6-8pm Reiki Tea meet and greet), January 23rd (10am - 5pm), January 24th (10am - 5pm)

Class may be rescheduled if minimum number of attendees is not reached by January 1rst.

What to bring: personal journal, comfortable clothing, water bottle and any favorite meditation pillows, blankets, etc. 

LEVEL 2

Usui Ryoho Holy Fire III World Peace

Step into the next level of your Reiki journey with a weekend of deep learning, intuitive expansion, and grounded, heart‑centered practice. This Level 2 training introduces the sacred symbols, distance techniques, and Holy Fire® III World Peace energy.

Prerequisite: Level One (from any teacher).

Whether you plan to support clients or simply want to deepen your self‑care, this class honours your path. Many students take Level 2 for personal healing, family support, gardening, animal work, or spiritual development. There is zero pressure to become a practitioner. In fact, some of the most powerful ways that we have seen people use their Reiki, is simply in maintaining postive, authentic and higher energy vibrations within Self, therefor creating a positive vibration in the world around them. A way of life that inspires others to choose health and wellness, while giving themselves the permission to care for themselves as they do others around them.
